FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of silicates, specifically to faience mixtures which can be used in making decorative and art objects, as well as general purpose articles. The faience mixture contains clay, kaolin, quartz sand, faience fragments, electrolyte and ground glass, with the following ratio of components, wt %: clay - 48.8-53.9; kaolin - 18.0-22.0; quartz sand - 8.0-10.0; faience fragments - 1.0-3.0; electrolyte - 0.1-0.2; ground glass - 15.0-20.0; where the glass has the following composition, wt %: B2O3 - 75.0-85.0; a component from the group Li2O, Na2O, K2O - 10.0-15.0; a component from the group MgO, CaO, BaO - 5.0-10.0.
EFFECT: lower burning temperature of articles.
