SUBSTANCE: device has four identical devices for converting velocity to an electrical signal, a computing unit, a band-pass filter, a square-wave generator, an averaging unit, a threshold unit, a unit for classifying anomalies, a read-only memory unit, a unit for generating the threshold level and a control unit. The devices for converting velocity to an electrical signal are placed flush with the outline of the housing of the carrier. The housing of the carrier in the region where the converters lie have the shape of part of a circular cylinder, whose edge lies perpendicular the direction of movement of the carrier. The converters lie in the plane of the cross section of the circular cylinder and are paired symmetrically about the centre plane of the circular cylinder. The unit for classifying anomalies has two comparators, a three-input AND element, an RS flip-flop, two D flip-flops, two shift registers, read-only memory, two delay elements and an indicating unit having four inverters, two light-emitting diodes and two resistors.

EFFECT: high efficiency of detecting turbulent anomalies in marine environment with possibility of identifying the type of anomaly.
