FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method of seismic waves excitation is based on the use of repulsive forces that appear in electrodynamic energy converter that consists of two opposing solenoids having magnetic coupling. The device for implementation of the said method includes electrodynamic energy converter that consists of two solenoids located one above the other, the lower solenoid is rigidly connected to oscillator base, and the upper solenoid can freely move at guiding supports. As a result of repulsive forces that appear in solenoids under the influence of current pulse the upper solenoid is moved upwards at guiding supports, the reaction of lower solenoid is transmitted into the ground via oscillator base where it excites elastic vibrations.

EFFECT: significant increase of pulse pressure at the ground in comparison to electrodynamic oscillators of the same weight, structure simplification and safety improvement.
