APPARATUS FOR EMITTING SEISMIC SHEAR WAVES Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G01V1/155

Abstract RU 2568949 C2

FIELD: physics; geophysics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in multiwave seismic exploration of oil and gas. The apparatus for emitting seismic shear waves comprises a radiating body with an electrodynamic system for converting electrical energy into mechanical energy, a group of pulsed non-explosive controlled sources, which include inductors and an electromagnet armature, and a base plate. The radiating body used is the housing of the apparatus, which is rigidly connected to a fixed base, and a movable base is configured to move towards the fixed base. The apparatus also includes a swinging revolving frame, inclined support posts and hinges. The base plate is in the form of double-runner sledges, connected into a single structure by the frame, on which is mounted a room with electrical equipment which provides operation of the actuating unit of the source. Actuating units based on tractive electromagnets are placed in the cavity of the runners with deviation from the vertical. The electromagnet armatures rest on the inclined support posts mounted on the sledge runners, which act as the base plate of the source, and the inductors are hinged to the runner through the swinging revolving frame.

EFFECT: high efficiency of generating seismic waves.
