FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: terminal may generate pilot-symbols for the first cluster in frequency-time unit on the basis of the first sequence and may generate pilot-symbols for the second cluster in frequency-time unit on the basis of the second sequence. The first and second sequences may include common elements, arranged in various orders, and may be considered as different options of one and the same sequence. Terminal may transmit pilot-symbols in appropriate clusters in frequency-time unit. Basic station may generate each of multiple basis vectors with the help of multiple versions of sequence assigned to terminal, and may process received pilot-symbols with the help of multiple basis vectors, in order to produce assessment of channel for terminal.

EFFECT: more efficient assessment of channel and noise for each terminal, by means of assessment of channel response on the basis of pilot signals.
