SUBSTANCE: autonomous function is assigned for any memory device (D₁, D₂,…, D_n) of distributed storage system (N), and consists in collection of content according to configured profile (3) for memory device, and in which the first memory device of distributed storage system (1), before it leaves network (N), it delegates responsibility for autonomous function of this first memory device to the second memory device of distributed storage system (1), in which the second memory device receives responsibility for autonomous function of the first memory device, and where the second memory device sends data accumulated as a result of its responsibility for autonomous function of the first memory device, to the first memory device, when the first memory device is returned to network (N).

EFFECT: creation of simple method to control distributed system of storage for provision of the fact that content collected for memory device is collected even when memory device is removed from the network.
