SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of creating and sharing media clips. A first media player receives from a second media player pairs of track points, a video message and a content identifier, wherein the pair of track points comprises a first track point, which sets the start point of a media clip, and a second track point which sets the end point of the media clip, wherein the content identifier identifies selected digital media content with which the pair of track points is associated. A content source from which content can be requested is identified, wherein a video message is captured by the camera of the second media player and has a link to the media clip set by the pair of track points. One content source is obtained based on user selection from a plurality of content sources displayed on a screen. The pairs of track points and the content identifier are sent to the content source corresponding to the user selection along with the content request. Data displaying a media clip retrieved from the selected digital media content, identified by the content identifier in accordance with the pair of track points, is obtained from the content source.
EFFECT: enabling continuous playback of multiple media clips.
