FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, a finger is put into a groove made on an optically transparent base. The finger is illuminated with radiation flux from a main source through the transparent base and radiation flux from an additional source through the tissue of the finger. Radiation from the sources has different wavelength. Reflected radiation is picked up by a receiver which is sensitive to radiation of both sources.
EFFECT: complete, high quality picture of the papillary pattern of a finger.
