FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in high-frequency coaxial cables intended for high-speed transfer of microwave signals in various areas of engineering for significant distances. High-frequency coaxial cable consists of inner conductor with thin-walled, increased and external layers of insulation, and external conductor with shell. Thin-walled layer of insulation is made of raw glased ribbons from polytetrafluoroethylene, and increased layer of insulation is arranged from ribbons of porous polytetrafluoroethylene, at the same time external layer of insulation is applied with pressing at increased layer of insulation by means of extrusion and is made of polytetrafluoroethylene or its copolymers, besides, shell of external conductor is made of polytetrafluoroethylene or its copolymers. Thickness of increased layer of insulation is to thickness of thin-walled layer of insulation as 10 to 1, and thickness of thin-walled layer is to thickness of external layer of insulation as 1 to 2.

EFFECT: invention provides for mechanical stability of cable, increased stability of electric characteristics, wave resistance, coefficient of return losses attenuation, and stable transfer of high-frequency currents without increase of cable diametre.
