PROCEDURE FOR REFINING OIL FROM HYDROGEN SULPHIDE AND LIGHT MERCAPTANS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C10G29/00 

FIELD: gas-and-oil producing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil producing industry. In particular, the invention refers to procedures for refining oil from hydrogen sulphides and light mercaptans. The procedures consist in physical purification of oil and chemical refining of distillate extracted from oil. Physical purification of oil is performed by heating and concentrating removed components in distillate with a hydraulic cyclone in two successive stages. At the first stage there is produced the first steam-gas and the first liquid phases. Further, the first liquid phase is heated in the furnace at the second stage to 120°C at presence of water at amount of 0.5-1.5% wt, when the second steam-gas phase and physically cleaned oil are produced. Distillate is chemically refined by cooling and contacting mixture of steam-gas phase with the first and second stages of physical purification. Reagent effects selectively on hydrogen sulphide and mercaptans at presence of gas stripped from hydrogen sulphide and at presence of water at amount of 0.1-0.3% wt of each at temperature 30-60°C and absolute pressure 3-5 kgf/cm² in a unit of a column type equipped with contact and coalescing devices. There is produced stripped gas, spent reagent, chemically refined condensate and commodity oil.

EFFECT: raised degree of oil refining at stage of physical purification and increased output of commodity oil.
