FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: gas analyser is designed for continuous measurement of molecular oxygen in processing chain gas streams. The gas analyser consists of a sensor and an electronic unit connected to each other by a cable. The gas analyser is designed for continuous measurement of molecular oxygen in processing chain gas streams, whose operation is based on an effect which results in change of heat conductivity of a gas mixture containing oxygen when exposed to a magnetic field. The sensor of the gas analyser consists of two series-connected leak-tight brass chambers which are placed inside solenoid coils. The electrical circuit of the sensor of the gas analyser is an unbalanced alternating current bridge, in whose two adjacent arms of which are connected detecting elements in form of threads which lie in the medium of the analysed gas and are heated by alternating current. The analysed gas is exposed to pulsed magnetic fields created by two solenoids. Constant resistors are connected in the other two arms of the bridge circuit of the sensor. Resistors used to balance the bridge circuit are connected in parallel to the said constant resistors. All elements of the bridge circuit are inside the housing of the sensor. The gas analyser also has three stabilised voltage sources used to power the circuit of the gas analyser.
EFFECT: stability of operation of the gas analyser.
