SUBSTANCE: invention refers to life saving equipment, namely to individual reusable life saving equipment. A unit for people descend from buildings and constructions in fires and other emergency situations comprises a halyard passed through a unit body, and a brake assembly accommodating a braking element supported through the halyard by the body, a screw pressing the braking element to the halyard, and safety belt fasteners. And for the purpose of automatic safety speed stabilisation of a rescued person descend, the braking element is removable parallel and perpendicularly to the halyard, while a spring is arranged between the braking element and screw. Two safety belt fasteners are symmetrical on the periphery of the braking element to compress the spring by weight of a rescued person through the braking element.
