SUBSTANCE: rotary drum has a central axis of rotation in horizontal direction or in direction passing atilt from the horizontal direction. A water level sensor serves to measure water level for washing in the water-holding tank. To detect a leakage from the main body of the washing machine, there is a water leakage indicator arranged on the lower plate in the lower part of the main body of the washing machine. A control device serves to control the electric motor, a water supply device, the water level sensor and a device for water drain by setting a regime, which is identified with a data input and processing devices, thus performing a washing operation. At the same time the control device terminates washing operation and informs about a failure whenever the water leakage indicator detects a water leak.

EFFECT: improved reliability of operation, prevention of water leakage from a washing machine.
