FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed finger-type seal comprises ring-like parts adjoining each other, each comprising pins arranged along the circumference and formed by slots made in ring-like parts. At least, one ring-like part has extending sites made integral with appropriate pin. Ring-like parts are arranged to allow pins of every ring-like part to jump slots of adjoining ring-like part. Inner surfaces of extending sites of, at least, one ring-like part have cellular structure made up of assemblage of cells with cell depth-to-inscribed circle diametre ratio varying from 0.3 to 0.5. cellular structure cells may have hexagonal, or square, or round or triangular shape. Diametre of inscribed circle makes no more than 1 mm.
EFFECT: reduced leaks between separated chambers.
