FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device consists of case with reference surfaces, of indicator, of lever hinged on axle adjusted relative to reference surface and on one side interacting with part of controlled position, while on another side interacting with indicator. Also, device consists of a slide and of a handle. The indicator and the axle of the lever are fastened on the case. A hollow guide with a through orifice in a side wall is arranged in centre of the case on the side of end reference surface. The slide with the handle secured on it and projecting through the orifice in the side wall of the case is positioned outside the guide. A hollow pusher with a through orifice in the side wall conjugated with the through orifice in the guide is positioned inside the guide. Additionally, the pusher is spring loaded to the slide, the slide is spring loaded to the case, while the arm of the lever interacting with the part is inserted in conjugated orifices of the guide and the pusher.

EFFECT: easy to use and compact device facilitating efficient control of gaps in assembly units under condition of restricted access.
