FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: superregenerative level gauge has a transmitting part, which includes a sensitive element made in form of a transmitting antenna and a superregenerative detector-transducer. The sensitive element is connected to the output of an inductance-capacitance oscillatory circuit, which is a composite part of the superregenerative detector-transducer, the other component part of which is a circuit damping modulator connected to the oscillatory circuit. The superregenerative gauge also has a receiving part, having a receiving antenna connected to the input of the transducer of the received high-frequency signal, from the output of which an information signal is obtained in form of a continuous series of pulse durations which corresponds to the level of the measured medium. As a result, continuous remote non-contact measurement of the level can be carried out, where the measurement is invariant to drop in measurement accuracy due to random deviation of oscillation frequency during certain instability in operation, which may cause a change in electrical parametres of the antenna. The measured medium may be aggressive or granular.
