SUBSTANCE: disclosed system relates to rescue equipment and can be used to detect a person suffering distress on water and determine location of such a person. The system has a life jacket with light sources (1, 2), transmitters (19, 20) with transmitting antennae (21, 22) respectively and a receiver mounted on an observation station. The life jacket also has a power source (3), cables (4, 5), cartridges (6, 7), membranes (8 ,9), levers (10, 11), contacts (12, 13), air-pressure line (14), air pockets (15, 16) and pressure rings (17, 18). The receiver has receiving antennae (23-25), high-frequency amplifiers (26-28), heterodynes (29, 30), mixers (31-33), intermediate frequency amplifiers (34-36, 59-62), multipliers (37, 39, 40, 76, 77, 88, 89), narrow-band filters (38, 41, 42, 57, 78, 79, 90, 91), unit of correlators(43,44), threshold units (45, 46, 49, 50, 73, 75, 85, 87), switches (47, 48, 51, 52, 65, 68, 69, 70, 71), amplitude detectors (63, 64, 66, 67), recording unit (55), phase meters (53, 54, 82, 83, 94, 95) and correlators (72, 74, 84, 86).
EFFECT: widening working frequency range without widening the frequency tuning range of the heterodynes.
