FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in information processing optical devices when designing optical computers and transceiving devices, which enable information processing in the tera- and gigahertz range. The device has four optical nanofibres, two optical nanofibres of a coupler, an optical nanofibre four-output splitter, two extensible nanotubes, two sources of constant optical signal, an optical nanofibre N-output splitter, an input optical nanofibre three-input coupler and an optical nanofibre N-input coupler.
EFFECT: summation of optical binary numbers and obtaining a result in form of a summation signal S and a carry signal P with high speed, achievable for information processing optical devices, simplification of the device and nanosize design of the device.
