METHOD OF REGULATING SURPOLUS ADHESIVE ON DRYING DRUM Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B31F1/12

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing absorbing sheet comprises extruding moist cellulose canvas and applying it on drier drying cylinder. Note here that drying cylinder is provided with resin adhesive at, in fact, constant addition speed in steady-state conditions. Note here that resin adhesive consists mainly, of PVOH resin and epyhalohydrin resin in close ratio in steady-state conditions, while drier incorporates additionally a drying cap that allows temperature variations. Note also that proposed method comprises accumulating adhesive coat of drying drum by removing, at least, a portion of said coat from said drum by scrapper along with controlling moist canvas sticking to drying drum by whichever method. Thus, drier temperature decrease before removing the coat may occur, or resin adhesive composition may vary, or adhesive resin addition rate may exceed steady addition rate.

EFFECT: improved control over adhesive composition accumulation by intermittent increase in composition amount and removal of its excessive amount.
