FIELD: textiles, paper.
SUBSTANCE: grid for structuring wet fibrous web (1') in the press section of the paper machine for manufacturing fine paper web has a three-dimensional woven structure that forms protrusions (62) and depressions (63), and the protrusions, as well as the depressions, are distributed with the repetition for relief formation of polygonal geometrically similar smallest unit surfaces (64). Each unit surface has an area a and covers several depressions with an average depth d. The area a and the average depth d of each unit surface (64) are designed in such a way in relation to each other that their ratio calculated in millimetres is at least equal to 30 mm, and a is taken in the range of 1.0-3.0 mm2, and d is taken in the range of 0.03-0.09 mm. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a fine embossed paper web using the said structuring grid. According to the invention the structuring grid structure can be used as a control parameter and the means of achieving a high dryness during pressing.
EFFECT: invention enables to increase the specific density of fine paper.
