FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal processing hot-rolled products. The apparatus has a delivery nozzle and a cooling tower and hydrotransportation, made from telescopically articulated sections, the output end of which is a distribution chamber with a nozzle which tapers at the input and which is cylindrical at the output, channels, cut-off nozzle and guide blocks, having the same shape as the nozzle, where the distribution chamber is enclosed in a stand-alone closed box with a drive for displacement relative the rolling line, at the output of which there is an air nozzle. The nozzle which tapers at the input and is cylindrical at the output and the guide blocks have a diffuser. The ratio of the cross sectional area of the distribution chamber to the cylindrical part of the tapering nozzle and the guide blocks is not less than 4 and not more than 10.

EFFECT: high quality of strengthening rolled products owing to uniformity of mechanical properties and reduced warping of rolls on the cooler and cutting on consumption of compressed air.
