FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, nickel, copper, molybdenum, niobium, sulphur, and iron at following ratio of components, wt %: carbon 0.08-0.10, silicon 0.20-0.40, manganese 0.20-0.40, chromium 0.70-1.00, copper 1.0-1.3, nickel 4.00-4.40, molybdenum 0.50-0.60, niobium 0.02-0.05, sulphur 0.001-0.005, iron - the rest. Value of coefficient of fracture strength at welding P_cm does not exceed 0.35 %, while summary contents of nickel and copper in steel is as high as 5.3 wt %.

EFFECT: high strength, raised cold resistance, fracture strength at welding and resistance to laminated fracture in thickness up to 100 mm.
