SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to surgery, and can be used for surgical treatment of chronic pancreatitis with predominant affection of pancreas head. For this purpose, isolated subtotal resection of pancreas head, pancreatoenterostomy is carried out. After that, main pancreatic duct of distal stump of gland is drained with silicon drainage. Altered parenchyma of pancreas head is maximally ablated with preservation of anterior and posterior upper pancreatic-duodenal arteries, intrapancreatic part of common bile duct and drained outside "omentum bag" is formed from greater omentum strand for insulation of remaining tissues of pancreas head parenchyma from free abdominal cavity.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to efficiently eliminate complications of chronic pancreatitis, stenoses of duodenum and common bile duct, compression of retropancreatic and main intestinal vessels, prevent development of pyoinflammatory post-operative complications.
