SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction industry and can be used when making gypsum-based construction articles. The method of preparing foam-gypsum mixture for making construction articles involves mixing hemihydrate gypsum, an additive and aqueous solution of foaming agent. Mixture of said component which are heated to 30-40°C is carried out in a continuously running cavitational activator-disintegrator without forced air supply with rotor speed of not less than 3000 min^-1 for 1-1.5 min. The additive used is calcium sulphate dihydrate which is crushed to particle size 1-1.5 cm. Said components are used in a ratio in accordance with the required density of the said articles at the output.

EFFECT: good sound-absorbing properties.
