FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firing detonation cables and can be used in perforation systems for the oil industry. The detonation cable has a polymer tube made from heat-shrinking material and a core made from explosive substance, where the core made from explosive substance is wrapped with a fluoroplastic film. In the first version, the core is made from plasticised explosive substance. In the second version, the core may be made from granular explosive substance. In the third version, the core may be made from explosive substance in form of blocks. The method of making the detonation cable involves moulding the core, placing the core made from explosive substance into the polymer tube made from heat-shrinking material, followed by heat-shrinking of the polymer tube made from heat-shrinking material via thermostatic control. The core made from plasticised explosive substance is formed through direct pressing or extrusion and is then wrapped by the fluoroplastic film.

EFFECT: high reliability of transmitting detonation through the cable by ensuring continuity of the geometrical shape of the core made from explosive material.
