FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in cleaning external surface, in roughening it, in coating it with flux, in immersion of sleeve into melt of zinc alloy containing aluminium, in turning sleeve around lengthwise axis till continuous metal layer out of zinc alloy is formed on external surface of cylinder sleeve along whole length, and in extracting sleeve out of melt. External surface of the cylinder sleeve is roughened by Tampico brushing and/or jet machining. The cylinder sleeve is immersed into melt of zinc alloy additionally containing copper to depth, when segment of external surface of the sleeve is wetted with melt continuously along its whole length.
EFFECT: production of corrosion resistant layer possessing strong metal bond with surface of sleeve; simple and inexpensive procedure of application of coating on sleeve.
