FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flotation for low-grade bauxite desulphurisation and desiliconisation. Proposed method incorporates opposite flotation for desulphurisation and normal flotation for desiliconisation. Note here that low-grade bauxites containing sulfur are first subjected to opposite flotation for desulphurisation after initial grinding using xanthogenate or ethyl thiocarbamate as collector, and, then, they are subjected to normal flotation for desiliconisation after additional grinding. Said opposite flotation comprises primary grinding of bauxites to grain size of 60%-85% - 0.074 mm, and, then reaction of slime with flotation agent is carried to execute opposite flotation for desulphurisation to produce sulphurous wastes and intermediate bauxite products. Xanthogenate or ethyl thiocarbamate is used as collector in amount of 100-500 g/t of ore, copper sulphate is used as a conditioner in amount of 50-500 g/t of ore, and, as a foaming agent, Frother 2 is used in amount of 20-150 g/t of ore.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.
