FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrified railways, namely to drives for control of overhead system breakers. Motor drive of railway overhead system breaker contains housing where following devices are installed: gear motor which switches on electric motor and gear group; output shaft of electric motor; drive direction reversing switch; terminal block for connecting drive to electric circuits via cable; and switch for prevention of unauthorised electric motor start. Housing consists of frame and casing interconnected using bolt joint. On one of the housing wall there is a hole to pass cable into housing intracavity. The drive contains ground terminal located on the external side of one of its walls. The drive is also equipped with handle for manual control of the drive and additional rod to connect the drive with overhead system breaker. Output shaft of electric motor has device for connecting it with additional rod. The gear group lever is linked to intermediate lever of electric motor output shaft via rod.

EFFECT: higher reliability of drive operation and reducing its dimensions.
