FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anaerobic fermentation of organic mass, for example plant and household wastes, manure and waste water to obtain ecologically clean organic fertiliser and biogas, and can be used in housing maintenance and utilities, chemical industry, power engineering and agriculture. The apparatus has a reactor 1 which is in form of a bent pipe which is buried into the ground, on the ends of which there is are gas receivers 7, a vessel for the starting material with a crushing machine 3, a vessel for collecting refermented biomass 4, a receiver 5, a compressor 6, a gas holder 15 and a spiral curved heating element 9. The process of crushing the "crust", unloading, mixing and moving the organic mass along the spiral curved heating element 9 of the reactor 1 is performed with excess pressure of compressed gas which is in form of methane from gas tanks 32 and biogas obtained from anaerobic fermentation.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the design and use of the apparatus, increases reliability thereof, lowers capital costs on manufacturing, and also provides a highly efficient and stable process of decomposing biomass all year round.
