FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: iridium alloy suitable for wire stock for pin of probe contains zirconium 100-500 ppm, aluminium and/or copper 10-500 ppm. At fabrication of wire stock produced rod out of iridium alloy at least once is subjected to combination of annealing at 1000-1200°C and wire drawing per not less than one pass under effect of heat due to transmission of current and further, at least once, to combination of annealing at 900-1200°C and cold drawing of wire for as many, as one pass.
EFFECT: raised resistance to oxidation, electric properties and simultaneously increased amount of contacts and hardness.
