FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing lingo-phenol-formaldehyde resin used as an adhesive component in production of wood composite materials. The method involves condensation of phenol, formaldehyde and a lignin-containing component while heating in the presence of sodium hydroxide as an alkaline catalyst. The lignin containing component used is wood resin which is an industrial waste from production of dehydroquercitin via acetone extraction from larchwood, mainly consisting of resin acids, terpenes and broken down lignin molecules. Condensation takes place in the following weight ratio: phenol 1, wood resin (dry substances 81.1%) 0.31-0.82, 45% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution 0.82-1.13, water 1.03-1.31, formaldehyde (37% formalin solution) 2.30-2.80.
EFFECT: wider raw material base for synthesis of phenol-formaldehyde resin and low cost of the obtained product.
