FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in production of bio-pulp out of sulphur-oxidising bacteria and concentrate, in supply of air, in oxidation of main mass of iron oxide and in supply of activating agent. As an activating agent there is used iron carbonate (II). Activating agent is supplied to bio-pulp upon oxidation at 80-85 % of main mass of iron sulphide at flow rate 0.42÷0.52 g/l corresponding to its concentration in solution.
EFFECT: actuation of respiratory process of micro-organisms thus improving engineering-and-economical performance of bacterial oxidation of sulphide concentrates.
