FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of controlling transport facility power plant with parallel configuration of power transfer to drive wheels. Proposed method consists in engaging thermal engine and electrical machine output shafts with wheel drive shaft at constant differential surface speeds of wheel. Thermal engine operating zone is defined as assemblage of its operating points. Said operating points are located at curve of minimum specific fuel consumption vs. effective rpm of engine output shaft. Engine operation in sad zone is maintained at constant load at its shaft. Constant load is maintained by compensation of thermal engine output shaft actual rpm deviation from preset rpm.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, simplified control.
