FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed converter comprises light source connected to pulsed voltage source, encoding photo receiver made up of one-p-n-junction semiconductor made in plate coated by gapless coding mask via insulator layer with three ohmic electrodes applied on p-region edges and n-region bottom part. One of said electrodes is connected to load resistance, second electrode is connected to pulsed voltage source and third electrode is connected to shift voltage source. Voltage comparator is connected to load resistance. Voltage comparator second input is connected to pulsed voltage source.
EFFECT: ease of manufacture, simplified design, smaller sizes.
