SUBSTANCE: multimedia content data files are stored in removable memory. Personalisation parameters for controlling peripherals of the communication device are set with software links to at least some of said data files. A table including said software links is created. It is determined whether the said removable memory will be removed. Data files for which the software links exist are copied from the removable memory into internal memory, or at least the size of the data files is changed.
EFFECT: personalisation of operation of the portable communication device in case of removal of removable memory in which personalisation objects are stored.
