METHOD OF CORRECTING VISUAL PERCEPTION IN CHILDREN WITH SEVERE MOTOR IMPAIRMENT Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61H5/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is intended for correction of visual perception in children with severe pathology of central nervous system (CNS) and in particular, with severe manifestations of infantile cerebral palsy (ICP). Corrective-developing work is carried out in four stages: formation of fixed gaze, smooth gaze tracing, visual-search strategy and visual control, by specialists three times per week for 10-20 minutes and daily at home by parents, in dark and light room, by means of devices - "easel", "black tunnel," "white screen", "a colorful screen" on principle of interdisciplinary interaction by different specialists who use in process of their individual, subgroup, integrated classes exercises for correction of visual perception, in combination with method of static proprioceptive stimulation of postural reflexes with application of postural orthreses.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve visual-motor functions, which results in improvement of shape, colour, size perception; and also contributes to formation of spatial conceptions.
