FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel sheet is rolled at temperature below temperature of re-crystallisation of austenite, but over temperature of ferrite transformation of steel and cooled directly upon rolling from temperature not below temperature of ferrite transformation of steel.
EFFECT: optimisation of procedure of sheet armour steel hot rolling facilitating increase of ballistic resistance due to suppression of undesirable crystallographic texture.
