FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: work piece is loaded into draw die, is pressed along flange, and central part of work piece is drawn by deformation force at specified depth. A drawn work piece is extracted form the die and there assessed properties of flat. There is used a rectangular work piece with two holes in central part. Also, dimension of the least side of the rectangular work piece is chosen within ranges 1.5÷1.9Dp, where Dp is diametre of a puncheon of the draw die. Holes in central zone of the work piece have diameter do equal to 0.2÷0.23Dp and are made at distance l1 within ranges from 10.0÷15.0S0 of arc of circumference of hole to contour of the puncheon, where S0 is thickness of a source work piece. Qualitative assessment of process properties of flats is made on base of value of opening of rupture between holes in the work piece, while quantitative assessment of plastic properties is performed by measurement of deformation values of circumferences of grid chart between holes.
EFFECT: more accurate assessment of material formability for various parts at operations of draw forming and selection of optimal grade of flats for stamping specific parts.
