FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: workpiece and surfaces of the device, which contact the workpiece, are coated with lubricant and restrained along the outline. A cavity is formed in workpiece by means of deformation; workpiece is removed from the device and deformations are measured. Square workpiece with central hole D0 is used. Sizes of workpiece sides shall be within 1.5÷1.9 Dp, where Dp - puncheon diameter. Diameter in the centre of workpiece is equal to D0≈Dp/3, deformed to H depth, deformation depth is less than the depth at which breaks appear on workpieces, deformations of the hole are measured and lubrication efficiency is judged by absolute value of flanged hole DK; the smaller DK at all other conditions being equal for one test run, the more effective is lubrication.
EFFECT: enlarging technical capabilities, improving test accuracy.
