FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: standalone hydroacoustic antenna module (SHAM) is a standalone station which detects noisy objects or performs acoustic tomography as part of several SHAMs or alone. The module determines its location using the Glonass satellite navigation system, aligns the acoustic antenna using a compass and stability sensors and determines the depth of the antenna using a pressure sensor. The SHAM employs a cylindrical acoustic antenna composed of multiple linear antennae pulled by two rings which are rigidly attached behind a digital data processing module. On-line transmission of information is carried out using the Gonets satellite communication system. The SHAM can also operate in drift, as well as anchored state.
