SUBSTANCE: device for connection of handle with drilling rod of tool for drilling hole in ice in open air, on lakes by means of manual drive of handle consists of appliance for making connection of common insertion of shaft of said handle in end of drilling rod and also, of first elements for fixing them in this position. The fixing element can be split for removal of the handle from the drilling rod. Also, by choice, in the device there can be implemented the connection of the common insertion of an engine shaft and the said end of the drilling rod instead of the handle. Additionally, the device has the second elements for fixing the shaft of the engine relative to the drilling rod in this position for conversion of the manual tool into the tool operated by an engine and vice versa. The tool for drilling a hole in a thick layer of ice consists of the central drilling rod with a spiral, of a bore bit, of a cutting edge, of the handle for drilling in ice by manual drive of the handle, of the appliance for connection of the handle containing elements for fixing the shaft of the engine relative to the drilling rod in the position for conversion of the manual tool into the tool operating with the engine and vice versa.
