FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses an acoustic musical instrument - stilpen and an orchestra of musical instruments consisting of at least four stilpens. The acoustic musical instrument - stilpen - has an impact surface with a main and an auxiliary hemispherical note surface comprising at least four independent note segments on each note surface. Each note segment is tuned to a certain pitch different from that of the other at least four independent segment on the said note surface.
EFFECT: main hemispherical note surface has a centre hole in which the auxiliary hemispherical note surface can be inserted and held.
