FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: when flying over a section of a pipeline, photographic and thermal images are captured from an aircraft in the visible and infrared wavelength ranges. The obtained thermal images are processed by calculating and constructing a three-dimensional model of thermal flux density and a three-dimensional model of block-fracture structures, constructing horizontal and lateral sections, vertical sections of thermal flux density, as well as block-fracture structures and their differential transformations. Obtained materials are interpreted and maps are plotted.
EFFECT: high reliability of output data.
