FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device which forms two fields of vision with different magnification has a first component in form of a biconvex lens with a reflective coating at the centre of a second surface and a second component in form of a divergent Mangin lens with a reflective coating on a second surface, the central zone of which does not have a reflective coating. There is a third component in form of a biconvex lens and a fourth component in form of a biconcave lens, having total optical power equal to minus 0.5-1.5 times the optical power of the first lens of the device. Distance between the first and second components is equal to (0.2-0.6)∙F1. Distance between the second and third components and between the third and fourth components is in the range of (0.001-0.02)∙F1 each, where F1 is the focal distance of the first lens of the device.

EFFECT: high information content of viewing and longer viewing distance in wide and narrow fields of vision owing to high value of magnification of the device.
