FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: method of induced selective drift of cationic aquacomplexes is applied in solutions of salts under action of asymmetric electric fields. Fields are formed so that they are isolated from solution with potential and grounded electrodes; at that, separation of cations of rare earth elements is achieved. At action of field at frequency interval of 1.6-7 kHz with intensity E+=14.3 V/cm and ratio of amplitudes of field intensity in negative and positive half-periods (asymmetry coefficient) A-/A+=0.66 as a result of separation there observed is enrichment at potential electrode of aquacomplexes of cerium in water solution of mixture of salts Ce(NO3)3 and Y(NO3)3.
EFFECT: increasing separation efficiency of solvating ions in solutions.
