FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: stump of vermiform appendix is sutured crosswise. Hollow tube with shoots at the end is inserted into stump. By means of tube stump is invaginated into cecum lumen. Purse-string suture is tightened around tube. Stump cavity is washed with antiseptic solution through hollow tube. Tube is removed and purse-string suture is tightened.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce risk of purulent post-operation complications.
