FIELD: medicine; surgery; pediatric surgery; veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: apex of the cecal cone is determined as the point of convergence of the shadows of the cecum. At a distance of 6.0 cm from the apex of the cecum cone, the first seromuscular purse-string suture is applied, with 10 stitches 1.0 cm long and a distance between stitches of 1.5 cm. A second seromuscular purse-string suture is applied, moving proximally from the first 2.0 cm seam, so that the stitches are staggered relative to the previous one, and the nodes of the purse-string sutures are located on opposite parts of the cecum. When tightening the threads, a lumen is formed at the base of the cone of the cecum with a diameter of 0.5 cm by inserting a laparoscopic instrument with a diameter of 0.5 cm under the purse string suture.
EFFECT: simple and easy method of simulation of the appendix in a pig, preventing the risk of developing inflammatory complications, the formation of a hematoma with subsequent divergence of the sutures allows to simulate the normal anatomical communication characteristic of the human body between the cecum and the vermiform appendix.
