FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of modular fire extinguishing, which is realised by means of a vessel, where a fire extinguishing agent is stored, the vessel is fixed by brackets to a building structure of the building and is equipped with a device of gas phase discharge, which is combined with a metering feeler for a fire extinguishing liquid, and a lock-start gear of electromagnetic type, which is connected to a tube for fire extinguishing liquid introduction into a foam generator, comprising an outlet nozzle with a conical diffuser chamber and a centrifugal swirler of compressed air flow arranged as a cylindrical bushing, inside which there is a cylindrical chamber for mixing and generation of air-mechanical foam installed coaxially to the external surface of the bushing. The outlet of the mixing chamber is connected to the inlet of the coaxially arranged conical diffuser chamber, and compressed air arrives into the centrifugal swirler and the mixing chamber along an air duct from a turbocompressor, a signal to start which arrives simultaneously with a signal to start the lock-start automatic gear from a unit of fire extinguishing system control, besides, to ensure the automatic mode of fire extinguishing the lock-start gear and the turbocompressor are connected electrically via a control unit with smoke annunciators. The cylindrical bush is made with an axial throttling channel, connected to a tube of liquid supply, formed in its end wall, and comprises at least three tangentially directed channels formed in its side wall.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of fire extinguishing due to application of high expansion foam.
