FIELD: wood industry.

SUBSTANCE: low-toxic adhesive composition for veneer production includes carbamide formaldehyde resin, sal ammonia as a hardener and a modifier. The modifier is naphthol (C₁₀H₈O), 40% alcohol solution, which provides for lower toxicity and improved reactivity of carbamide oligomer at the following ratio of components, %: carbamide formaldehyde resin 86.8-91.1; naphthol (C₁₀H₈O) 40% alcohol solution 8.2-12.1; sal ammonia (NH₄Cl) 0.7-1.1.

EFFECT: reduction of board materials toxicity by an order as a result of sorption of free formaldehyde from resin, increased strength of adhesion and reduced duration of hardening and increased efficiency of gluing equipment.
