FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: welded butt joint of tubular rods includes adjacent ends of joined closed profiles. Profiles have equal dimensions of cross section and paired coaxial longitudinal slots. For round sections the side edges of each slot are bent along radial directions in opposite sides with gaps. Gaps are equal to the section thickness. For rectangular sections the vertical walls and horizontal shelves with the help of angular slots are bent accordingly in horizontal and vertical directions with gaps. Gaps are equal to the section thickness.
EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness of manufacturing and assembly, reduced consumption of construction material.
